One of my first at attempts to make an impact sound by layering. I should have picked better source material. I used some recordings of closing a door. Http://freesound. A very low frequency tone/drone made with the studiofactory software synth. It's a cross-mod of the perlin tone generator with a formant generator. This is about as low and loud as my current speaker/amplifier system allows. Use with care i. E. Turn down your playback systems output before you play it. Final mastering was done with audacity.

A really nice unmodulated dubstep growl synthesized from white noise in audacity. Sounds similar to synths used in major edm artists' work, such as terror squad from zomboy.

My daughter's song-box was running low on batteries. This is the last sound i could squeeze out of it.

I start with a standard reese, next i add a low-pass filter with some attack and a high resonance. Good for drum&bass tracks.

I simply generated a risset drum in audacity with all the default settings, except the frequency is 50. A really powerful sound, but only if you have a good sub woofer.

I like to put special attention into not only the sounds and rhythms used in my work, but also the shape of the tracks itself when looked at in an audio editor. I enjoy working with dc-offsetted sounds, as i believe that, although there is not much of a difference when listened to, they must be picked up differently somehow by the brain.

A nearby moo. Taken from a field recording (quite literally) i made of the cows mooing in the field next to our house in pembrokeshire, wales. Recorded tuesday 14 april 2020 (while in lockdown during the coronavirus pandemic) on a zoom q2n. Note, incidentally, that "zoom" spelt backwards is "mooz". Spooky, eh?. I hope that someone out there finds these moos to be just the thing they need. I recorded them for my own music project about ufos, but figured someone else might need a moo or two too! if you use these, please let us know in the comments. It's not compulsory, but it would be fun to find out.

Here's a low volume, low frequency noise recorded during an acoustic survey of a condominium to identify a sleep-disturbing noise. It is primarily a combination of 13, 18 and 23 hz (5 hz steps). Not audible on computer speakers, it should be listened to on closed back headphones or very good quality sound system.
